τῇ μητρὶ γῇ τὸ χρέος ἐκτίνων τὸν ναυηγὸν θάπτει. ἰδὼν ναυηγοῦ σῶμα ἐρριμένον ἀκηδῶς καὶ ὀλιγώρως, παρελθεῖν οὐκ ἐτόλμησα, ἀλλὰ ἔθαψα τὸν τεθνεῶτα, θέαμα τῷ ἡλίῳ οὐδαμῆ φίλον ἀποκρύπτων ἀνθρωπίνῳ θεσμῷ.
