ἄνδρα φασὶ Σικελιώτην οἷον βλέπειν ὀξὺ γενέσθαι ἐν Σικελίᾳ, ὥστε αὐτὸν ἐκ τοῦ Λιλυβαίου ἐς Καρχηδόνα τείναντα τὸν ὀφθαλμὸν μηδὲν τὰς ὄψεις σφάλλεσθαι. καὶ ἀποδεῖξαι λέγουσι τὸν ἀριθμὸν τῶν νεῶν τῶν ἀναγομένων ἐκ Καρχηδόνος· καὶ οὐκ ἐψεύσατο οὐδεμίαν.
