Πτολεμαῖος ὁ Τρύφων ʽτοῦτο γὰρ αὐτὸν ἐκάλουν ἐκ τοῦ βίοὐ γυναικὸς ὡραίας ἐντυχεῖν αὐτῷ βουλομένης ὃ δὲ ἔφη ʽἀπηγόρευσέ μοι ἡ ἀδελφὴ παρὰ γυναικὸς καλῆς λόγον δέξασθαι.ʼ ἣ δὲ ἀτρέπτως πάνυ καὶ ἐμμελῶς ʽπαρὰ καλοῦ λάβοις ἄν;ʼ εἶπε. καὶ ἐκεῖνος ἀκούσας ἐπῄνεσε.
