Κίμων ὁ Κλεωναῖος ἐξειργάσατό φασι τὴν τέχνην τὴν γραφικὴν ὑποφυομένην ἔτι καὶ ἀτέχνως ὑπὸ τῶν πρὸ αὐτοῦ καὶ ἀπείρως ἐκτελουμένην καὶ τρόπον τινὰ ἐν σπαργάνοις καὶ γάλαξιν οὖσαν. διὰ ταῦτά τοι καὶ μισθοὺς τῶν πρὸ αὐτοῦ πρῶτος ἔλαβεν ἁδροτέρους.
