ὁ μέροψ τὸ ὄρνεον ἔμπαλίν φασι τοῖς ἄλλοις ἅπασι πέτεται· τὰ μὲν γὰρ ἐς τοὔμπροσθεν ἵεται καὶ κατʼ ὀφθαλμούς, ὃ δὲ ἐς τοὐπίσω. καὶ ἔπεισί μοι θαυμάζειν τὴν φύσιν τῆς ἐπισήμου καὶ παραδόξου καὶ ἀήθους φορᾶς, ἣν ἐκεῖνο ἄττει τὸ ζῷον.
