οἱ στρουθοὶ οἱ σμικροὶ συνειδότες ἑαυτοῖς ἀσθένειαν διὰ σμικρότητα τοῦ σώματος, ἐπὶ τοῖς ἀκρεμόσι τῶν κλάδων τοῖς φέρειν αὐτοὺς δυναμένοις τὰς νεοττιὰς συμπλάσαντες εἶτα μέντοι τὴν ἐκ τῶν θηρατῶν ἐπιβουλὴν ὡς τὰ πολλὰ διαφεύγουσιν ἐπιβῆναι τῷ κλαδὶ μὴ δυναμένων· οὐ γὰρ αὐτοὺς φέρει διὰ λεπτότητα.
