τοῦ Νείλου πλησίον πόα γίνεται, καὶ καλεῖται λυκοκτόνος, καὶ οὐκ ἔστι ψευδώνυμος, καὶ εἰκότως· ὅταν γὰρ αὐτῆς ἐπιβαίνῃ λύκος, σπώμενος ἀποθνήσκει. ἔνθεν τοι καὶ οἱ σέβοντες Αἰγυπτίων τοῦτο τὸ ζῷον ἐς τὴν ἑαυτῶν χώραν κωλύουσι ταύτην τὴν πόαν κομίζεσθαι.
