3. E. M. 440, 14: κανών ἐϲτιν ὁ λέγων ὅτι οὐκ ἔϲτιν ἐπινοῆϲαι τὸ η καὶ τὸ ῡ ἐν μιᾷ ϲυλλαβῇ χωρὶϲ εἰ μὴ ἐν κλίϲει ῥήματοϲ ὡϲ αὐδῶ ηὔδων, αὐχῶ ηὔχουν· ἀναγκαία οὖν ἡ διάϲταϲιϲ τοῦ ἠύτε ὁμοίωϲ τῷ γρῆϋϲ καὶ νῆυϲ.
