Mon. 41, 34 θοόϲ: τὰ εἰϲ οϲ καθαρὰ διϲύλλαβα τῷ ο παραληγόμενα φιλεῖ βαρύνεϲθαι κόοϲ, ϲόοϲ, νόοϲ, χνόοϲ, γόοϲ, πλόοϲ, ῥόοϲ, θρόοϲ. διὸ καὶ τὸ ζόοϲ παῤ Ἐπιχάρμῳ οἱ πλείουϲ ἐβάρυναν «τρὶϲ ἀπεδόθη ζόοϲ» ὁμοίωϲ καὶ τὸ ϲόοϲ. τὸ μέντοι θοόϲ ἄντικρυϲ ὀξυνόμενον μονῆρεϲ. τὰ δὲ αἴτια τούτων ἐν ἑτέροιϲ δηλοῦμεν.
