τὸ κνύζα ἐπὶ τοῦ παρεφθαρμένου καὶ ἐρρυπωμένου ἀπὸ τοῦ κνύω, ἀφ’ οὗ κνύοϲ ἡ φθορά οἰον «κατὰ κνύοϲ ἔχευεν, ψίλωτο δὲ — κάρηνα» (Ηes. frg. XL II) γίνεται ὡϲ παρ’ Ἀνακρέοντι «κνύζη τιϲ ἤδη καὶ πέπειρα γενομένη ϲὴν διὰ μαργοϲύνην ».
