Οὕτω μὲν οὖν ὁ πρῶτος εἰ καὶ μὴ ἀληθὴς τῆς αἰτίας λόγος δεύτερος δὲ, ὁμοίως ἔχων, τὸν ἥλιον ἐκεῖσέ φησιν ἐπιτέλλοντα οὐχ ὡς παρʼ ἡμῖν λαμπραῖς ταῖς ἀκτῖσιν εἰς τὸν πόρον βάλλειν, ἀλλὰ παρομοίαις αἵματι, ἐξ ὧν τοῖς ὁρῶσιν ὅφαιμον παρασκευάζειν τὸ πάθος τὴν τῆς θαλάττης ἔμφασιν, κἀκεῖθεν Ἐρυθρὰν κατονομάζεσθαι.
