36. (VI, 80.) Δαφνιακῶν βίβλων Ἀγαθίου ἐννεάς εἰμι· ἀλλὰ μ’ ὁ τεκτήνας ἄνθετο σοι, Παφίη. οὐ γὰρ Πιερίδεσσι τόσον μέλω, ὅσσον Ἔρωτι, οργια τοσσατίων ἀμφιέπουσα πόθων. αἰτεῖ δ’ ἀντὶ πόνων, ἵνα οἱ διὰ σεῖο παρείη ἢν τινα μὴ φιλέειν, ἢ ταχὺ πειθομένην.
