Ἑξόμενος μὲν τῇδε παρ’ εὐλάϊγγι τραπέζῃ παιγνία κινήσεις τερπνὰ βολοκτυπίης. μήτε δὲ νικήσας μεγαλίζεο, μήτ’ ἀπολειφθεὶς ἄχνυσο, τὴν ὀλίγην μεμφόμενος βολίδα. καὶ γὰρ ἐπὶ σμικροῖσι νόος διαφαίνεται ἀνδρός· καὶ κύβος ἀγγέλλει βένθος ἐχεφροσύνης.
