ἔτι ὥσπερ τῷ αὐλητῇ τὸ εὗ αὐλεῖν ἐν τῷ αὐλεῖν ἐστιν καὶ οὐκ ἔστιν ἀδιάφορον τῷ αὐλητῇ πρὸς τὸ εὖ αὐλεῖν καὶ τὸ ἴδιον τέλος τὸ αὐλεῖν (ὁμοίως δὲ καὶ ἐπὶ τῶν ἄλλων τεχνῶν), οὕτως καί, εἰ τῷ εὐδαιμονοῦντι ἐν τῷ εὖ ζῆν ἐστιν τὸ εὐδαιμονεῖν, οὐκ ἂν εἴη αὐτῷ ἀδιάφορον τὸ ζῆν πρὸς τὸ εὖ ζῆν, ἀλλὰ συντελοῦν πρὸς τὸ εὖ ζῆν.
