ἔτι εἰ αἱ ἀρεταὶ ἀλλήλων οὐ τῷ σκοπῷ, ἀλλὰ τῷ περὶ ἃ διαφέρουσιν (σκοπὸς μὲν γὰρ πάσαις αὐταῖς εἷς τὸ καλὸν πρόκειται, ἡ δὲ διαφορὰ αὐταῖς καθὸ ἡ μὲν περὶ τάδε τὰ πάθη, θάρρη φέῤ εἰπεῖν καὶ φόβους, ἡ δὲ περὶ τὰς δι᾿ ἁφῆς ἡδονάς, ἄλλη δὲ περί τινα ἄλλα), ὁ μίαν ἔχων ἀρετὴν καὶ τὸν κοινὸν πάσης ἀρετῆς σκοπὸν τὸ καλὸν ἔχει.
