Διαφέρει δὲ πλεῖστον ἐρωτώμενόν τε καὶ μὴ λύειν λόγον. Ἶσον ἐστὶ τὸ προκείμενον τῷ ‘πολὺ διαφέρει τὸ ὁρᾶν τὴν τοῦ λόγου ἁμαρτίαν (τοῦτο γάρ ἐστιν ἡ λύσις, ἡ εὕρεσις τῆς ἁμαρτίας τοῦ λόγου), ὅτε κατὰ σχολὴν καὶ καθ’ ἑαυτοὺς λαμβάνοντες τὸν συλλογισμὸν σκοποῦμεν, πῶς συλλελόγισται καὶ πῶς αἱ προτάσεις ἐλήφθησαν, καὶ ὅτε ἐρωτώμεθα’· ἐργῶδες γάρ ἐστι καὶ πολλῆς τῷ ὄντι ἕξεως ἅμα τῇ ἐρωτήσει τὸ συμαβαῖνον ἐκ τοῦ λόγου δύνασθαι συνορᾶν.
