29. Ὅσοι τε παρὰ τὸ προστιθέναι τι συλλογίζονται, οὓς καὶ μὴ παρὰ τοῦτο προσονομάζομεν, σκοπεῖν δεῖ εἰ ἀφαιρουμένου συμβαίνει μηδὲν ἧττον τὸ ἀδύνατον, κἄπειτα τοῦτο ἐμφανιστέον καὶ λεκτέον, ὡς ἔδωκα οὐχ ὡς δοκοῦν ἀλλ’ ὡς πρὸς τὸν λόγον καὶ τῷ μὴ δόξαι δυσκολαίνειν, καὶ πρὸς τούτοις οὐδὲ συντελεῖ τι πρὸς τὸν λόγον· οὐ γὰρ παρὰ τοῦτο ὁ ἔλεγχος.
