Κοῖλα δὲ ὄντα τὰ ὀστέα ἑλκοῦσιν εἰς αὑτὰ ἀπὸ τῶν σαρκῶν τὸ αἷμα. λοιπὸν τὸ ποιότατον τοῦ μυελοῦ διαζωοῦται καὶ διαρθροῦται, αὖθις τὰ ἄκρα τῶν ὀστέων, καὶ διΐστανται ἀπ' ἀλλήλων οἱ δάκτυλοι τῶν χειρῶν καὶ τῶν ποδῶν.
