Ὅτι πρῶτος Ἐνδυμίων τῇ περὶ τοὺς ἀστέρας ἐσχόλασε θεωρίᾳ, ὡς ἀγρυπνεῖν τὴν πᾶσαν νύκτα καὶ τὰς ἡμέρας ἐπὶ πλέον καθεύδειν. διὸ καὶ ἐρώμενος εἶναι λέγεται τῆς Σελήνης, ὡς ὑπάρχων αὐτῇ τούτου ἕνεκα προσφιλής. Οὕτω Πλάτων.
