12. Ὑπόκειται δὲ καὶ τῇ Δακίᾳ μετὰ τὸν Ἴστρον ἡ ἄνω Μυσία, συνάπτουσα πρὸς μὲν ἀνατολὰς τῇ κάτω Μυσίᾳ, πρὸς δὲ δύσεις Δαλματίᾳ. Ἔστι δὲ καὶ ὑπὸ τὴν Δαλματίαν καὶ μέρος τῆς ἄνω Μυσίας ἡ Μακεδονία, ὑπὸ δὲ τὸ λοιπὸν ἐκείνης τε καὶ τὴν κάτω ἡ Θρᾴκη. Πρὸς ταύτῃ δέ ἐστι καὶ ἡ ἰδίως καλουμένη Χερρόνησος. Τῆς δὲ Μακεδονίας πρὸς νότον ἐπὶ τὰς δύσεις ἡ Ἤπεριρος κεῖται, ἐπὶ δὲ τὰς ἀνατολὰς ἡ Θεσσαλία, αἷς ὑπάκειται ἡ Ἑλλὰς, κατὰ τὸν ἐν τῷ Κρισσαίῳ κόλπῳ ἰσθμὸν ποιοῦσα τὴν Πελσπόννησον.
