23. Πάλιν δὲ τῇ μέχρις Ἰμάου ὅρους Σκυθίᾳ ὑπόκεινται ἀπὸ δύσεως ἀρχόμεναι Μαργιανὴ, εἶτα Σογδιανὴ, εἶτα Σακία. Καὶ ἐστιν ὑπὸ τὴν Μαργιανὴν ὡς ἀπὸ ἀνατολῶν τῆς Παρθίας ἡ Ἀρία· τῇ· δὲ Σογδιανῇ ὑποβέβληται ἡ Βακτριανή εἶτα τῇ μὲν Ἀρίᾳ παραμήκει οὔσῃ ὑπόκειται ἡ Δραγγιανὴ, τῆ δὲ Βακτριανῇ οἱ Παροπανισάδαι, ὑφʼ οὅς ἐστιν ἡ Ἀραχωσία ὑποκείμενα ἔχουσα τὰ δυτικώτερα τῆς Γεδρωσίας, δυτικήν ἐχούσης τὴν Καρμανίαν, ᾗ ὑπόκειται ἡ Δραγγιανή.
