41. Τοῦ δὲ Πόντου ἀπὸ Τόμων ἐπὶ τὰς τοῦ Φάσιδος ἐκβολὰς μῆκος μὲν στάδια Ϛ΄, μίλια ωκϚ΄, πλάτος δὲ τὸ ἀπὸ Φαναγορίας ἐν Βοσπόρῳ ἐπὶ τὰς τοῦ Ἄλυος ἐκβολὰς, ἧπερ καὶ πλατύτατός ἐστιν ὁ Πόντος, στάδια βυ΄, μίλια τκ΄. 42. Ἔστι δὲ τῆς Κασπίας θαλάσσης μῆκος μὲν τὸ ἀπὸ τῶν τοῦ Κύρου ἐκβολῶν, ὃς κάτεισιν ἀπὸ τῆς Ἀρμενίας, ἐπὶ τὰς τοῦ Ἰαξάρτου ἐκβολὰς σταδίων ησ΄, ἤτοι μιλίων αU+2220δ΄, πλάτος δὲ πλεῖστον σταδίων βφ΄, μιλίων δὲ τλδ΄.
