7. Ἔδοξε δέ μοι καὶ τοῦτο διὰ σχήματος ὑποδεῖξαί σοι, ὡς ἂν ἔχῃς ἀκριβῆ τὴν περὶ τούτων εἴδησιν. Ἐπειδὴ γὰρ οὐκ ἔστι δυνατὸν τὸ σφαιροειδὲς εἰ μὴ σφαῖραν ἔχοις κατανοῆσαι, μέθοδόν τινα διεθέμεθα, πῶς δεῖ ἐν ἐπιπέδῳ τὴν τοῦ σφαιροειδοῦς καταλαβεῖν πραγματείαν.
