ἐφείηι, ἀλλ' οὐκ ἂν δέηι καὶ πάσχειν τι δι' ἑαυτοῦ τὸν συπενος τοῦ μάλιστ' ἀγαπωμένου τῶν ἀναγκαίων ἢ τῶν φίλων παραβάλοι ἂν ἑτοίμως τὸν τράχηλον. Εἰ γὰρ τὸ ὑπὲρ τῆς πατρίδος ἀποθανεῖν ἦν ἐμοὶ καθῆκον, πῶς oὐ καὶ τὸ ὑπὲρ ἀ ναγκ α ίου μέλλ ω; θαυ αντο λους λη εου αμε Δικαίαρχον ἔχω τ ὸν ἀδελφόν· οὐ μάλα γὰρ ω
