24. τοῦ ὅγε δακρυχέων. Aristarchus praepositionem περί omissam esse notavit, non ὑπέρ ut schol. in M, in genetivis, qui pendent a verbis simili significatione positis cf. Ar. ad Π 17. Χ 170 ὀλοφύρεαι Ἀργείων et Ἕκτορος, ἀκαχήμενος υἷος Ω 550, ἀχνύμενος ἑταίρου Ο 651. Corruptum Aristonici scholion sic fere restituendum est: ἡ διπλῆ, ὅτι ἐλλείπει ἡ περί, περὶ τοῦ δακρυχέων. 37. στῆ δὲ μέσῃ ἀγορῇ· σκῆπτρον δὲ οἱ ἔμβαλε χειρί κηρυξ ... *) ὅτι δι’ ἑκατέρας τῆς ποιήσεως Ὁμηρικὸν ὂν τὸ ἔθος τετήρηται.
