445-46. Σκύλλην δ’ οὐκέτ’ ἔασε πατὴρ ἀνδρῶν τε θεῶν τε εἰσιδέειν· οὐ γάρ κεν ὑπέκφυγον αἰπὺν ὄλεθρον. †) νοθεύονται δύο· τί γὰρ εἰ εἶδεν ὅπου οὐ δύναται ὁρμᾶν ἡ Σκύλλα, ἀλλ’ ἐνίδρυται τῷ σπηλαίῳ; ὡς ἐκ τῶν λόγων τῆς Κίρκης ἔστι μαθεῖν· εἰ γὰρ ἐβούλετο διὰ τῆς Χαρύβδεως πλεῖν ὁ Ὀδυσσεύς, οὐκ ἂν ἠδικήθη ὑπὸ τῆς Σκύλλης, ὡς ἀνημμένης τῷ σπηλαίῳ QH.
