86. ἄλλους μὲν γὰρ πάντας, ὅσοι Τρωσὶν πολέμιζον, πευθόμεθ’ . . . †) οἴδαμεν· οὐ γάρ ἐστιν ἀντὶ τοῦ ἐρωτῶμεν HM. Ar. observavit, verbum πυνθάνεσθαι significare audire, non explorare cf. L. Ar. 148. Certe scholion nostrum ex Aristonico fluxit, cuius verba sic fere restituenda sunt: ἡ διπλῆ, ὅτι τὸ πυθέσθαι ἀντὶ τοῦ ἀκοῦσαι τίθησιν. Quod Dindorfius ex T. tradidit p. 745: οἴδαμεν, οὐ γὰρ νῦν ἀντὶ τοῦ ἐρωτῶμεν ad hunc versum pertinet, non ad v. 84.
