Idem ibid. c. 33: Οὔτε Λεοντιάδης ἐν Θερμοπύλαις ἦν στρατηγὸς, ἀλλ' Ἀνάξανδρος, ὡς Ἀριστοφάνης ἐκ τῶν κατὰ ἄρχοντας ὑπομνημάτων ἱστόρησε, καὶ Νίκανδρος ὁ Κολοφώνιος· οὔτε γιγνώσκει τις ἀνθρώπων πρὸ Ἡροδότου στιχθέντας ὑπὸ Ξέρξου Θηβαίους.
