Syrian. in Hermog. Vol. IV. p. 101: ὅθεν καὶ Μενάνδρῳ τῷ κάλλιστα τὸν βίον μιμησαμένῳ ἀπὸ τῶν τοιούτων αἱ ὑποθέσεις πᾶσαι συμπληροῦνται· εἰς ὃν καὶ Ἀριστοφάνης ὁ γραμματικὸς εὐστοχώτατα εἶπεν ἐκεῖνο· „Ὦ Μένανδρε καὶ βίε, πότερος ἄρ' ὑμῶν πότερον ἐμιμήσατο;“
