(18) ὑπόκειται δὲ τὸ ἔντερον τῇ κοιλίᾳ διπλοῦν εἱλιγμένον, ἐπιεικῶς πλατύ· περὶ δὲ τοῦ μεγέθους αὐτοῦ οὐδὲν εἴρηκεν ὁ Ἀριτοτέλης. (19) Ἡ δὲ λεγομένη κάτω κοιλία ἐκπέφυκε μὲν | ἐκ τοῦ ἐντέρου, ὁμοία δέ ἐστι τῷ σχήματι τῇ ὑείᾳ· πλατεῖα γάρ ἐστι καὶ κοίλη. τὸ δ᾿ ἀπ᾿ αὐτῆς πρὸς τὴν ἕδραν παχὺ καὶ βραχὺ ὑπάρχει, ὃ δὴ καὶ ἀρχὸν καλοῦσι.
