(38) Ἔστι δὲ τὸ ἦθος ἡ γυνὴ ὡς ἐπὶ πολὺ ἀνδρὸς ἐλεημονεστέρα καὶ ἀριδάκρυον· ἔστι δὲ καὶ φθονερωτέρα καὶ μεμψίμορος καὶ φιλολοιδορωτέρα καὶ πληκτικωτέρα μᾶλλον. ἔστι δὲ καὶ δύσφημον τὸ θῆλυ καὶ δυσέλπιστον καὶ ἀναιδέστερον καὶ εὐαπατητότερον καὶ μνημονικώτερον καὶ ἀκινητότερον καὶ τροφῆς ἐλάττονος δεῖται. παρεκτικώτερον δὲ καὶ μεγαλοψυχότερον τὸ ἄρρεν.
