(45) τὰ δὲ λεγόμενα λιμνόστρεα ἐν τῷ βορβόρῳ γίνεται, αἱ δὲ πελωρίδες ἐν τῇ ἄμμῳ, σωλὴν δὲ καὶ τὰ ὅμοια ἐν τοῖς λίθοις· περὶ δὲ τὰς σήραγγας τῶν πετρῶν τὰ τήθεα καὶ αἱ βάλανοι καὶ αἱ νήρεις, οἱ δὲ σπόγγοι περὶ τὰς τῶν κοιλότητας. ἔχει δὲ ὁ σπόγγος πινοφύλακα μεθ’ ἑαυτοῦ, ὅμοιον ἀράχνῃ. ὅς αὐτῷ σημαίνει τὰ ἰχθύδια θηρεύειν τὰ εἰσιόντα εἰς τὰς κοιλότητας.
