εἰ δή τις λέγοι “ὁ κατὰ τὸ ἡδὺ φιλῶν οὐκ ἔστιν φίλος τούτῳ· οὐ γὰρ κατὰ τὸ ἀγαθὸν φίλος ἐστίν”, βαδίζει ὁ τοιοῦτος ἐπὶ τὴν τῶν σπουδαίων φιλίαν, τὴν ἐξ ἇπάντων τούτων οὖσαν, καὶ ἐκ τοῦ ἀγαθοῦ καὶ ἐκ τοῦ ἡδέος καὶ ἐκ τοῦ συμφέροντος, ὥστʼ ἀληθῶς οὐκ ἔστιν [κατʼ] ἐκείνην γε τὴν φιλέαν φίλος, ἀλλὰ τὴν κατὰ τὸ ἡδὺ ἢ κατὰ τὸ συμφέρον.
