ἡ μὲν οὖν πρώτη κάθοδος ἐγένετο τοιαύτη. μετὰ δὲ ταῦτα ὡς ἐξέπεσε τὸ δεύτερον, ἔτει μάλιστα ἑβδόμῳ μετὰ τὴν κάθοδον, ʽοὐ γὰρ πολὺν χρόνον κατέσχεν, ἀλλὰ διὰ τὸ μὴ βούλεσθαι τῇ τοῦ Μεγακλέους θυγατρὶ συγγίγνεσθαι, φοβηθεὶς ἀμφοτέρας τὰς στάσεις ὑπεξῆλθεν̓.
