Ὅλως μέν ἐστι τοῦτο ζυγόν, ἔχον μίαν μὲν πλάστιγγα, ἐν ᾗ σταται τὸ βάρος, τὴν δ’ ἑτέραν, ἐν ᾗτὸ σταθμὸν ἐν τῇ φάλαγγι. Διὸ σφαίρωμά ἐστιν ἡ φάλαγξ ἐπὶ θάτερον. Τοιοῦτον δὲ ὄν πολλὰζυγά ἐστι, καὶ τοσαῦτα ὅσαπέρ ἐστι τὰ σπαρτία.
