῎Εστι δὲ καὶ ἐν Μηδίᾳ καὶ ἐν Ψιττακηνῇ τῆς Περσίδος πυρὰ καιόμενα, τὸ μὲν ἐν Μηδίᾳ ὀλίγον, τὸ δ᾽ ἐν Ψιττακηνῇ πολὺ καὶ καθαρὸν τῇ φλογί· διὸ καὶ μαγειρεῖα πρὸς αὐτῷ κατεσκεύασεν ὁ Περσῶν βασιλεύς. Ἄμφω δ᾽ ἐν ὁμαλοῖς τόποις καὶ οὐκ ἐν ὑψηλοῖς, Ταῦτα δὲ καὶ νύκτωρ καὶ μεθ᾽ ἡμέραν φανερά, τὰ δὲ περὶ Παμφυλίαν νύκτωρ μόνον.
