περὶ δὲ γνωμολογίας, ῥηθέντος τί ἐστιν γνώμη μάλιστʼ ἂν γένοιτο φανερὸν περὶ ποίων τε καὶ πότε καὶ τίσιν ἁρμόττει χρῆσθαι τῷ γνωμολογεῖν ἐν τοῖς λόγοις.
