ὁ δὲ ἡγεμὼν τῆς πάσης στρατιᾶς Ξενοφῶν τὸ πολὺ μὲν πρὸ τῶν σημείων τῶν πεζικῶν ἡγείσθω, ἐπιφοιτάτω δὲ πάσῃ τῇ τάξει, καὶ ἐπισκοπείτω ὅπως τεταγμένοι ἰᾶσι, καὶ τοὺς μὲν ἀτακτοῦντας ἐς τάξιν ἐπαναγέτω, τοὺς δὲ ἐν κόσμῳ ἰόντας ἐπαινείτω. οὕτω μὲν τεταγμένους ἰέναι.
