καὶ τὴν πρώτην παίειν ἢ ἀκοντίζειν τοῖς κοντοῖς ἀφειδῶς ἔς τε ἵππους καὶ αὐτούς. ἀπωσθέντων δὲ εἰ μὲν φυγὴ λαμπρὰ γένοιτο, διαχωρεῖν ἤδη τὰς πεζικὰς τάξεις καὶ ἐπελαύνειν τοὺς ἱππέας, μὴ πάντας τοὺς λόχους ἀλλὰ τοὺς ἡμίσεας·
