ἀλλʼ ἐμοί γε οὐ πολὑς λόγος, εἰ οὐχ ἴκανὸς φανοῦμαι συγγράφειν, Ἐπικτήτῳ τε οὐδʼ ὀλίγος, εἰ καταφρονήσει τις αὐτοῦ τῶν λόγων, ἐπεὶ καὶ λέγων αὐτοὺς οὐδενὸς ἄλλου δῆλος ἦν ἐφιέμενος ὅτι μὴ κινῆσαι τὰς γνώμας τῶν ἀκουόντων πρὸς τὰ βέλτιστα.
