Πανδοκεὺς τοῖς μὲν νοσοῦσι θάνατον σημαίνει· ἔοικε γὰρ θανάτῳ διὰ τὸ πάντας δέχεσθαι· τοῖς δὲ λοιποῖς πᾶσι θλίψεις καὶ στενοχωρίας καὶ κινήσεις καὶ ἀποδημίας προαγορεύει. καὶ ὁ λόγος φανερός· τί γὰρ δεῖ τὰ οὕτω σαφῆ ἑρμηνεύειν; τὰ δέ αὐτὰ τῷ πανδοκεῖ καὶ τὸ πανδοκεῖον σημαίνει.
