Ἀλλὰ ταῦτα μὲν ἴσως πλάνη ποιητική, φυσικὸς δέ τις ἐπ᾿ αὐτοῖς καὶ τοιοῦτος λόγος· Ζεὺς ἀργὴς (ὥς φησιν Ἐμπεδοκλῆς) Ἥρη τε φερέσβιος ἠδ᾿ Ἀϊδωνεὺς Νῆστίς θ᾿, ἣ δακρύοις τέγγει κρούνωμα βρότειον.
