Schol. Ael. Aristid.: ἄλλοι δὲ λέγουσιν ὡς (τὸ ἅρμα) ἐκ Σικελίας
ἐφάνη τὴν ἀρχή· Βακχυλίδης γὰρ καὶ Πίνδαρος Ἱέρωνα καὶ Γέλωνα,
τοὺς Σικελίας ἄρχοντας, ὑμνήσαντες καὶ πλεῖστα θαυμάσαντες ἐν
ἱππηλασίᾳ πρὸς χάριν αὐτῶν εἶπον ὡς Σικελιῶται πρῶτοι ἅρμα
ἐξεῦρον.
