Καὶ προσαγορεύω τὴν τιμιότητά σου καὶ εὔχομαί σοι τὰ ἀγαθά· ἐμαυτὸν δὲ καταμηνύω σπουδὴν ἔχοντι πάντως εἰδέναι τὰ καθʼ ἡμᾶς, μηδὲν ἄμεινον τῆς συνηθείας πράττοντα. τῶν γὰρ δυσφημοτέρων φείδομαι, ὡς ἂν μὴ πάνυ λυποίην τὸν τὰ βέλτιστα ἡμῖν συνευχόμενον.
