Θεοδωρήτου. Καὶ ἄλλως δέ. Οὐκ ἔγνωσάν, φησι, ὅτι διὰ τοῦ νόμου ὁ Θεὸς τὴν πίστιν ἐπηγγείλατο. καὶ ὅτι ἡ πίστις οὐκ ἐναντια ἐστι τῳ νόμῳ, ὐπ’ αὐτοῦ του νόμου μαρτυρουμένη. Κλήμεντοσ. Καὶ μὴ γνόντες, μὴ δὲ ποιήσαντες τὸ βούλημα τοῦ νόμου, ὃ ὑπέλαβον αὐτοὶ, τοῦτο καὶ βούλεσθαι τὸν νόμον ὠήθησαν. καὶ οὐδ’ ὡς προφητεύοντι τῷ νόμῳ ἐπίστευσαν. λόγῳ δὲ ψίλῳ καὶ φόβῳ, ἀλλ’ οὐ διαθέσει καὶ πίστει ἠκολούθησαν.
