Καὶ εἶδον καὶ ἤκουσα. Καὶ διὰ τούτων τὸ συμπαθὲς καὶ φιλάνθρωπον τῶν θείων Ἀγγέλων δείκνυται, θεομιμήτως οἰκτεῖρον τοὺς παιδευομένους τοὺς πλημμελήσαντας· πολλῷ δὲ πλέον τοὺς μὴ ταῖς μάστιξι πρὸς ἐπιστροφὴν βλέποντας, οἷς καὶ μάλιστα τὸ οὐαὶ ἁρμόζει, ὡς ἐπὶ γῆς οἰκοῦσιν καὶ φρονοῦσι τὰ γήινα. τοῖς γὰρ ἐν οὐρανῷ ἔχουσι τὸ πολίτευμα, ἀφορμὴ τὰ δυσχερῆ στεφάνων καὶ βραβείων γίνονται.
