Ἐγὼ Ἰωάννης ὁ ἀδελφὸς ὑμῶν καὶ κοινωνὸς ἐν τῆ θλίψει. Ἅτε ἀδελφὸς ὑμῶν φησιν ὢν καὶ συγκοινωνὸς ἐν ταῖς διὰ Χριστὸν θλίψεσιν, εἰκότως τὸ ἀξιόπιστον πα., ὑμῖν κέκτημαι. διὰ γὰρ τὴν μαρτυρίαν Ἰησοῦ, Πάτμον οἰκεῖν τὴν νῆσον καταδικασθεὶς, ἀπαγγέλλω τὰ ἑωραμένα ἐν αὐτῇ μυστήρια.
