δαπάνην ἄκαιρον μηδαμῶς προσίεσο, γαστρὸς δὲ πειρῶ πᾶσαν ἡνίαν κρατεῖν· μόνη γὰρ ὧν πέπονθεν οὐκ ἔχει χάριν, ἀεὶ δὲ τοῦ δέοντος ἐνδεῖται πλέον. ὅστις δὲ γαστρὸς μὴ κρατεῖν ἐπίσταται, οὗτος τὰ πλείω τῶν κακῶν ἔχει κακά.
