Καὶ οἱ μὲν ἦσαν ἐν τούτοις· ὁ δὲ Μιθριδάτης δι᾽ Ἀρμενίας ἐποιεῖτο τὴν πορείαν σφοδρότερον, μάλιστα μὲν δεδοικὼς μὴ καὶ τοῦτο αἴτιον αὐτῷ γένηται πρὸς βασιλέως, ὅτι κατ’ ἴχνος ἐπηκολούθει τῇ γυναικί, ἅμα δὲ καὶ σπεύδων προεπιδημῆσαι καὶ συγκροτῆσαι τὰ πρὸς τὴν δίκην.
