Philo de Moyse lib. III Vol. II Mang. p. 162. οὕτως ἔχει καὶ ἐπὶ τῶν ἀρετῶν· ἑκάστῃ γὰρ συμβέβηκεν εἶναι καὶ ἀρχὴν καὶ τέλος, ἀρχὴν μὲν ὅτι οὐκ ἐξ ἑτέρας δυνάμεως, ἀλλ’ ἐξ ἑαυτῆς φύεται· τέλος δὲ ὅτι πρὸς αὐτὴν ὁ κατὰ φύσιν βίος σπεύδει.
